I enjoyed working on this Ridgefield CT interior design project!
The millwork of the commanding bookcase is exquisite. Did you notice that the woodwork spills onto the ceiling for added impact? The airy blue and white colors are a classic combination for a Nantucket style home. Pink accents add vibrancy.
Kitchens are the heart of a home. This one has it all. White cabinetry and Carrera marble are a timeless combination. The beaded and paneled cabinetry style looks traditional yet current. Varying the heights of the upper cabinets in a large kitchen adds visual interest, bringing the eye around the room. The chiseled granite farmhouse sink and custom mosaic backsplash over the range add sophistication to the design. In addition to the island seating, the kitchen boasts a breakfast area with upholstered seating for four. The light fixtures were carefully selected to complement each other without matching.
The built-in bookcase offers space to personalize the family room with collected mementos.
This photograph captures the spaciousness and flow of the home. A round table fits the breakfast area like a glove. It is surrounded by comfortable striped dining chairs with nail head detail, and is grounded by a pale blue sisal rug with a contrasting border. The clear glass chandelier sparkles without obstructing the view into the family room.
A fieldstone fireplace with a raised hearth feels homey and casual, setting the tone for the room’s furnishings. A sectional is a good choice for maximum seating – or napping. Other coastal elements include a whitewashed plank top coffee table and starfish accent pillows.
The Ridgefield CT interior design project provided a fun challenge to create a family oriented living space. This home featured a open kitchen that over looks the dinning area and living room.
