A couple of years ago, I spent some truly enjoyable time antiquing in England. With the recent Brexit drama, your dollar can go further in England — if you plan an antiquing trip now, you can get more bang for your buck!
There are many wonderful places to shop for antiques in and around London. From the famous Portobello Road Market to the smaller shops at Gray’s Antique Centre, the London antiques scene has something to offer nearly anyone, no matter your budget or tastes. When you think of the breadth of British history, it isn’t surprising how many beautiful objects can be found among the shops and markets of nearly any English town.
During my visit to the Cotswolds (a mere two hours from London), I found so many beautiful objects from a wide range of time periods and styles. You could easily go shopping every day and find something new each time! I was in awe of the craftsmanship and quality of the antiques we saw on this trip. The experience definitely rekindled my love affair of antiques!
