One of the best things about my job is legacy clients — people who come back to me to design a second home.  Because we’ve already been through the “getting to know each other” phase, we can dive headlong into the project.  This home was chosen for its location on a beautiful piece of property with a pond.  They already knew they could count on our collaboration to make the interior as welcoming as the exterior.

An underwhelming fireplace.

This Madison, CT kitchen renovation included the whole shebang – new windows, doors, and flooring, changes to walls, and a fireplace makeover.  Knowing, listening to, and understanding my clients, even when they can’t express what it is they really want, sets the foundation for making dreams come true.  In this case, the family lives fairly formally and they love traditional design.  From the ebony floor inlay, the elegant lighting, the glazed cabinet finish, and the liberal use of the color black – all make a significant contribution to the curated and sophisticated aura.  The details make the design!
